In the morning, our personal safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha lodgings. We’ll set off for Tarangire National Park, traveling across gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, we’ll see Maasai people in colorful attire walking, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and guiding donkey carts. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and a variety of other wildlife. From the open roof of our safari jeep, we’ll explore swamps, savanna, and the Tarangire River, spotting zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and more. After an exciting game drive, we’ll enjoy dinner and relax in a spacious room at one of our mid-range partner lodges

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an exciting adventure to Lake Manyara National Park. This untouched paradise is famous for its remarkable birdlife and the rare sight of tree-climbing lions. The park is bordered to the west by the striking Rift Valley escarpment, and to the east lies the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara, which fluctuates with the seasons, attracting thousands of flamingos during the rainy months. The name ‘Manyara’ comes from the Maasai word ’emanyara,’ referring to a plant used in building protective enclosures (bomas) around family homes. The park’s rich vegetation ranges from savannah to lush evergreen forests. As you explore, keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and with a bit of luck, lions lounging in the trees. After a delicious lunch and a thrilling game drive, we will head to our luxurious partner lodges in Karatu for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Early risers are rewarded with stunning views of the sunrise over the crater. After breakfast, we descend into this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of Africa’s seven wonders, formed three million years ago. The crater, 610 meters deep and covering 260 square kilometers, boasts a dense population of about 25,000 ungulates. It offers the best game viewing in Tanzania, where we can see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and elephants, along with over 500 bird species. With luck, we might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we’ll leave the crater and head back to Karatu, staying at one of our quality mid-range partner lodges.

This day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, famous for its wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. The park is known for its migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests, with movements determined by rainfall. In November and December, they move south, while during the rainy season from April to June, they return north. We may also spot resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions. After an exciting day, we’ll return to the Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp. There, we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night on the endless plain

After breakfast, you’ll head to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ), with an optional stopover in Stone Town (flight arrangements available at an extra cost). From there, you’ll journey to the northern coast of Zanzibar, renowned for the stunning Nungwi Beach. This stretch of white coral sand appears to glow even after nightfall, offering both vibrancy and seclusion. Nungwi’s expansive coastline is perfect for swimming and snorkeling in some of Africa’s most pristine, reef-rich waters. Unlike other Zanzibari beaches, it is not heavily affected by high and low tides, making it ideal for water activities throughout the day.
