Day by Day Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival in Arusha - Gateway to the Northern Safari

Your journey begins in Arusha, the vibrant gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you are welcomed and transferred to Gran Meliá Arusha, a luxury retreat surrounded by gardens and coffee plantations with views of Mount Meru.

The evening is relaxed, allowing time to unwind and prepare for the safari ahead.

DAY 2

Land of Baobabs and Elephants

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most atmospheric parks.

The landscape is dotted with towering baobab trees while the Tarangire River attracts large concentrations of wildlife. Elephant herds roam the plains, giraffes move between acacia trees and predators rest in the shade.

After a full game drive continue to the Manyara region.

DAY 3

Lake Manyara - Forest and Flamingos

Today explore Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful ecosystem beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

The park’s lush groundwater forest shelters elephants, monkeys and abundant birdlife. Along the lakeshore flamingos and pelicans gather while the park’s famous tree-climbing lions sometimes rest in acacia branches.

DAY 4

Ngorongoro Crater - Africa’s Natural Sanctuary

After breakfast travel into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife havens. The crater floor hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent including lions, elephants, buffalo and — with luck — the endangered black rhino.

After a picnic lunch beside the hippo pools ascend toward the crater highlands.

DAY 5

Journey to the Serengeti

Today the journey continues toward the legendary Serengeti National Park.

As the landscape opens into vast golden plains, wildlife sightings begin almost immediately. Herds of antelope cross the savannah while predators rest on rocky kopjes scattered across the horizon.

Arrive at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, an elegant luxury camp in the heart of the Central Serengeti.

DAY 6

The Endless Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti ecosystem.

Morning and afternoon game drives reveal lions, cheetahs and leopards while herds of wildebeest and zebra move across the plains.

Depending on the season you may witness part of the Great Migration or observe resident predators hunting across the savannah.

DAY 7

Another Day in the Serengeti

A second full day in the Serengeti allows deeper exploration of this extraordinary wilderness.

The Serengeti’s endless horizon creates a sense of scale rarely found elsewhere in the world. Each drive reveals new wildlife encounters and new landscapes shaped by time and migration.

DAY 8

Serengeti Fly-Out

Your final morning begins with the soft light of a Serengeti sunrise.

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled fly-out flight from Serengeti, offering one last aerial view of rivers, kopjes and endless savannah.

From here you may return to Arusha or continue to Zanzibar.
