This moderate trek takes you through the enchanting coniferous forests along Kilimanjaro’s northern slope. It’s important to maintain a steady and comfortable pace throughout. Upon reaching Simba Camp, you’ll find your professional mountain crew has prepared the site, set up tents, and started cooking dinner.

Your day begins with an early breakfast at Simba Camp before embarking on a trek to Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m / 11,906 ft), the second high-altitude stop on your journey. As you ascend, the trail becomes more challenging, but the rewards are spectacular. If the weather is clear, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the majestic Kibo Volcano from Kikilewa Camp.
This physically demanding trek will leave you in awe of the surrounding landscape, and once you arrive at the camp, we strongly recommend taking time to rest and recharge for the next day’s adventure.

Your day begins with an early breakfast at Kikilewa Camp before trekking to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,315 m / 14,156 ft), nestled at the base of Kilimanjaro’s striking Mawenzi Volcano. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy lunch and take a well-deserved two-hour rest. Later in the afternoon, embark on an acclimatization hike toward Mawenzi Volcano, ascending 200 m (656 ft) in altitude. This hike helps your body adjust to the high altitude, significantly increasing your chances of a successful summit while minimizing the risk of altitude sickness.
The acclimatization hike is a gentle trek designed to ease your transition to the higher elevation. Afterward, return to Mawenzi Tarn Camp to unwind and enjoy a hearty dinner prepared by your team, readying you for the next day’s adventure.

Today’s trek takes you to Kibo Hut Camp (4,720 m / 15,482 ft), marking a significant step toward Kilimanjaro’s summit. The landscape transitions dramatically into a rocky semi-desert, offering unique views of the mountain’s rugged terrain. While the trek is not overly challenging, maintaining a steady, comfortable pace is essential to conserve your energy for the final ascent.
Upon reaching Kibo Hut Camp, it’s crucial to focus on resting, hydrating, and preparing mentally and physically for the summit push later that night. Avoid any strenuous activity and aim for quality sleep to ready yourself for the climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,336 ft).

Your summit adventure begins at night as your group departs from Kibo Hut Camp (4,720 m / 15,482 ft) toward Kilimanjaro’s highest point, Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,336 ft). While the trek itself is not technically demanding, the high altitude makes every step a challenge. To ensure safety and support, each climber is paired with a personal guide who will monitor your condition closely throughout the ascent.
Upon reaching the peak, you’ll celebrate your achievement with breathtaking views and, if desired, visit the nearest glacier. Afterward, you’ll descend back to Kibo Hut Camp for a two-hour rest before continuing to Horombo Camp (3,720 m / 12,202 ft).
Keep in mind that most accidents occur during the descent, so take extra care with each step to avoid injury. Pay particular attention to your footing to prevent toe injuries, which are common on this stretch.

Upon arrival at the gate, your group will come together to celebrate your achievement. A comfortable transfer will then take you back to your hotel to unwind and savor the memories of your Kilimanjaro experience.

After a well-earned rest at your hotel, you’ll prepare for your journey home. Please note that hotel check-out is at 11:00 AM. If your flight is scheduled for the evening, you may opt for a late check-out for an additional fee to ensure a more comfortable departure. When it’s time, you’ll be transferred to the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure.
