Day 1 - Arrival in Moshi

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our representative will meet you and transfer to the hotel.The hotel provides all the essentials for a comfortable stay, such as: cozy rooms, Internet access, hot water, a swimming pool, and a helpful staff. In the evening, an orientation session with our tour coordinators will ensure that you are ready to begin the spectacular Meru climb.

Day 2 - From Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut

In the morning you will go to Arusha National Park, and then straight to the trailhead. The ride takes approximately 2.5-3 hours.
At Momella Gate the guides will arrange the entry permit formalities, and you will start trekking to Miriakamba Huts. Wild animals (warthogs, zebras, monkeys, antelopes and, sometimes, elephants) are likely to be seen on the way.
Hot lunch will be served upon arrival to Miriakamba Huts. There you may rest or explore the surroundings.

Day 3 - From Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

After the breakfast, the group will start trekking to Saddle Huts. The rainforest zone will end soon, giving place to heath and moorland with large trees. The trail will open amazing panoramic vistas.
Upon reaching the saddle huts, those who are willing and energetic enough may reach the Little Meru Peak, further boosting your acclimatization transition.
Our team will serve hot lunch and dinner in the camp.

➔ HABITAT: Moorland and heath
Day 4 - From Saddle Hut to Meru Peak and descent to Momella Gate

Midnight wake-up and the group starts trekking to the Meru Peak. The hikers should be prepared for a tough and strenuous hike - the legs to Rhino Point and Cobra points are especially precipitous. Be careful!
The group will reach Meru Peak (4,565 m/14,977 m) by sunrise, where you’ll have true visual euphoria - thrilling panoramic sceneries around and mesmerizing sunrise.
After the summit time, the group will descend to Miriakamba Huts for a hot lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 - From Miriakamba Huts to Momella Gate

Morning, breakfast and hike down to Momella Gate. Our car will be waiting there for your party for transfer to the hotel (see description below).

Day 6 - Departure

Departure Rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport or onwards travel. Our classic adventures are what the majority of climbers are looking for. 7 Day Safari – Trip of a Lifetime I did a 7 day safari with Shiri Adventures and it was incredible. Full disclosure, I did get mine severely discounted as we worked together on content creation/promotion, but I can honestly say I would have absolutely paid full price to do it.Our guide Laurent was amazing. Linus, the Managing Director, is a godsend and helped us with some issues that popped up right before we left as well as answering every little question we had along the way.This trip was the time of our lives (me and my husband went for our honeymoon). I couldn’t recommend it enough, and I found Shiri to be very reasonable in cost compared to many other safaris at this level.And we saw the big 5! I’m telling you, our guide had supervision. 10/10 would recommend Shiri Adventures.

7 Day Safari Experience Shiri Adventures made the whole safari a breeze! We got to see so many animals and different national parks over our 7 day safari. And with the help of our guide we were able to spot and see the all of the big 5 animals (lions, elephants, leopards, water buffalo & rhinos)! We got a discounted experience via my wife, but I would pay full price any day. It was amazing!

6 day Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! My friends and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route with Shiri Adventures, and Linus and his staff delivered an amazing experience. There were 4 of us in our group and we all had limited hiking experience, but we all made it to the summit with the help of our amazing guides Yaki and Bryson, along with the porters. After we finished, they had beers, champagne and a bus waiting for us at the gate. I have traveled quit a bit and I can say I’ve never had a better experience anywhere. If I ever go back to Tanzania I will hire Linus and Shiri Adventures to handle it. I wish I could do more than write a review. I highly highly highly recommend using Linus and Shiri Adventures for your Kilimanjaro trek or safari. Highly recommend using Shiri Adventures. We went on a three-day safari with Shiri as well as a day trip to Materuni Falls and Coffee Plantation and Chemka Hot Springs. Best Safari! Me and my wife spend our honeymoon on safari (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Manyara) with Shiri Adventures and I can say that it was the best experience!We didn’t have a single complaint. From communication with mr. Linus, who responded quickly to all our questions and concerns (via WhatsApp or email), to the entire organization of Safari, transfers to airport, luxury lodges in national parks… Also, on our safari jeep they put our wedding photo – nice personal touch :)Our guide (mr. Ibra) was an exceptional at finding animals that we could see from a distance of only a few meters! He taught us about animals, their behavior and the habitats they live in, about the natives Maasai (which we also visited), about land Africa and Tanzania… Really experienced guide!
