This day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, famous for its wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. The park is known for its migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests, with movements determined by rainfall. In November and December, they move south, while during the rainy season from April to June, they return north. We may also spot resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions. After an exciting day, we’ll return to the Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp. There, we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night on the endless plain

Early risers are rewarded with stunning views of the sunrise over the crater. After breakfast, we descend into this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of Africa’s seven wonders, formed three million years ago. The crater, 610 meters deep and covering 260 square kilometers, boasts a dense population of about 25,000 ungulates. It offers the best game viewing in Tanzania, where we can see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and elephants, along with over 500 bird species. With luck, we might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we’ll leave the crater and head back to Karatu, staying at one of our quality mid-range partner lodges.
