This 6-day lodge and tented camp safari allow us to experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We’ll experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of some of the most diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants amongst the acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We will also visit the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The landscapes are jaw-dropping and the variety and volume of wildlife we will see are unforgettable!

Day by Day

  • Arrival (See Getting There for more details)

    ➔ You'll be collected from the airport.
    ➔ Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha

    Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha.
    Evening: Briefing on the safari itinerary and rest for the night.
    Accommodation: Arusha Planet Lodge or similar mid-range lodge

  • Day 2 - Tarangire National Park

    Morning: After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours).
    Afternoon: Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees.

    ➔ Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
    ➔ Accommodation: Marera Valley or similar
    ➔ Meals & Drinks:  All meals included. All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor).

  • Day 3 - Serengeti National Park

    Morning: After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
    Afternoon: Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge in the central Serengeti.
    Evening: Check into your lodge and relax.
    Accommodation: Embalakai Authentic Camp or similar mid-range lodge.

  • Day 4 - Serengeti National Park

    Morning: Early morning game drive to witness the wildlife and possibly catch the great migration (depending on the season).
    Afternoon: Continue exploring the Serengeti with a packed lunch or return to the lodge for a hot lunch.
    Evening: Sundowner game drive and return to the lodge.
    Accommodation: Embalakai Authentic Camp or similar mid-range lodge.

  • Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater

    Morning: Early breakfast and game drive en route to Ngorongoro Crater.
    Afternoon: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Spot the Big Five and enjoy a picnic lunch.
    Evening: Ascend the crater and transfer to your lodge.
    Accommodation: Rhino Lodge or similar mid-range lodge on the crater rim..

  • Day 6 - Lake Manyara National Park

    After breakfast, we will continue with your epic safari – Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha, is so named for the shallow salt lake which covers a good seventy percent of the park's surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons the soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos as well as over 500 other bird species. On our exploration of the park we will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After another memorable game drive we, with our adventure replete with images of the African wilds to last a lifetime..

    You can spend the last hours of your journey relaxing. At an appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight.
